A. Founded in 1995, the "Trust" is the only statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to presrerving and enhancing Oregon’s state park system.

A. No. Oregon State Parks Trust is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Oregon Department of Parks and Recreation is a division of the State of Oregon. Oregon State Parks Trust and Oregon Department of Parks and Recreation share common goals and objectives relative to preserving and enhancing Oregon's state parks.

Q. Is Oregon State Parks Trust government-funded or -operated?

A. No. The Trust is 100% privately operated. Members of our Board of Trustees are all volunteers. Our funding comes entirely through grants and donations.
