Smith Rock State Park is a sanctuary of majestic rock spires overlooking the scenic Crooked River Canyon. This park has international recognition for its rock climbing opportunities and draws visitors from around the world.

Oregon State Parks Trust provided resources for improving the trail system to minimize the effects of the foot traffic on the delicate soil structure and native vegetation.

Other projects at this park include purchasing 5 acres to expand the park site, developing interpretive signs and installing drinking fountains.
