The community building serves many functions for the park, providing meeting hall accommodations to a wide variety of users; a centralized gathering place for family reunions, Boy Scout troops, and weddings; and group camping for clubs and organizations.

Annually, an average of 1,634 people use the community building and 103,116 people visit the park.
