Elijah Bristow State Park
Elijah Bristow State Park is located 17 miles southeast of Eugene on the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. The 847-acre park includes grassland meadows, wetlands and white oak groves. Naturalists, from botanists to students, love the park because of the diverse ecosystems. School groups from Dexter, Lowell, Eugene and Springfield use the park for their outdoor educational programs. Each year, close to 80,000 people visit Elijah Bristow State Park.
The Oregon State Parks Trust helped to raise $16,000 for improvements to the park entrance and the development of an interpretive plan at the park, including information kiosks, signs, and a quarter-mile self-guided interpretive trail complete with brochure.
