Oregon State Parks Trust helped to raise and distribute $50,000 towards the expansion and renovation of the Nature House at Tryon Creek State Natural Area in Portland. For over 25 years, this building has been the center of all education and interpretive programs at the Park.

In January the Trust joined other donors throughout the Portland area in a campaign to secure seven acres adjoining Tryon Creek State Natural Area for Try/on Life Community Farm. The group plans to build a demonstration farm on the land, showcasing organic farming and environmental building practices as well as techniques for watershed and habitat restortation.
