Every year, thousands of volunteers help Oregon Parks and Recreation Department extend a high level of customer service, offer a growing number of interpretive programs and maintain park lands and facilities. The number of hours volunteers contribute annually translates into nearly 226 full-time employees!

Featured volunteer:  The Oregon Youth Challenge Program, a central Oregon alternative high school for teenagers provides more than 24,000 volunteer hours each year including over 400 hours this summer removing noxious weeds and laying bricks for the new summit plaza at Pilot Butte.  Thank you for all your hard work!!!
