Upcoming event: 2008 Birdathon for State Parks is April 26-27

“Birdathon for State Parks” is a fundraising event similar to a “walkathon” where volunteers raise funds from pledges. However—unlike a walkathon—Birdathon pledges are for the number of bird species seen or heard.
Oregon State Parks Trust’s team, “The Great Auk and the Passenger Pigeons,” will visit various sites in the Willamette Valley, the Coast Range, and along the Oregon Coast, trying to see or hear as many bird species as possible in 24 hours of birding. The team includes Executive Director Dave Eshbaugh, Development Associate David Roberts, and Office Administrator Jill Weston Tuleya.
You can help by making a pledge for “Birdathon for State Parks.” Your donation can be in the form of a check made out to Oregon State Parks Trust and sent to 2100 SW River Pkwy, 4th Fl, Portland, OR 97201-8009 (please write on your check that your donation is for Birdathon). Alternatively, you can make Birdathon donation via credit card at www.oregonstateparkstrust.org/giving/Donate (be sure to check the box that indicates that your donation is for Birdathon; you can even designate which team member you are pledging).
The results of Oregon State Parks Trust’s 2008 “Birdathon for State Parks” will be published in a future e-newsletter and at www.oregonstateparkstrust.org.
By making a Birdathon pledge, you will help support Oregon State Parks Trust, the only statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing Oregon's state parks.
Oregon State Parks Trust is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, so your Birdathon pledge is fully tax-deductible.
