Portland, OR. Oregon State Parks Trust, the only statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Oregon's state parks, has elected Nicole R. Palmateer Armstrong, Laurie Munro Bloch and Charles F. Sams III to its Board of Trustees.

Nicole R. Palmateer Armstrong is the owner of Armstrong Public Affairs & Communications. A resident of Salem (Marion County), she is or has been a State Board Director for Technical Assistance for Community Services, Adjunct Professor of Public Relations & Communications for George Fox University, on the Young Alumni Council of Willamette University, on the Alumni Advisory Council of Phi Beta Phi, on the Downtown Redevelopment Task Force for the City of Tigard, a grant reviewer for the US Department of Health & Human Services, on the Board of Forward Stride, a member of the New Leaders Council of the City Club of Portland, and a committee chairperson for the Komen Portland Race for the Cure.

Laurie Munro Bloch is the principal of Laurie Munro Bloch, LLC. A resident of Portland (Multnomah County), she currently serves on the Board of the St. Andrews Society of Oregon. She has served as a Director and on the Executive Committee of the Oregon Symphony Association, as a Mathematics Judge for Multnomah County Academic All-Starr, as a Director for Northwest Business for Culture and the Arts, as a Director for the Portland Youth Philharmonic, on the Vestry for Trinity Episcopal Church, and Chair of the Southwest Portland Residential Solicitation for the United Way.

Charles F. "Chuck" Sams III is the National Director for the Tribal & Native Lands Program for the Trust for Public Land. A resident of Portland (Multnomah County), he is Vice Chair of the Umatilla Tribal Community Foundation, on the Board of The Resources Innovations Group, a Board member and Vice President of Marketing for the USS Ranger Museum Foundation, a Founding Member of Young Environmental Professionals of Color, on the Board of River Network, and a Member of the Northwest Indian Veterans Association.

Founded in 1995, Oregon State Parks Trust's mission is to preserve and enhance Oregon's outstanding natural, scenic, cultural, historical and recreation sites for the enjoyment of present and future generations. The organization has raised over $8.2 million for state parks projects that range from the restoration of Vista House at Crown Point and the Kam Wah Chung & Co. Museum in John Day, to enhancing interpretive exhibits at Collier Memorial State park in Klamath Falls and at Fort Yamhill State Park in Polk County.
