Portland, OR.  Oregon State Parks Trust, the only statewide nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing Oregon's state parks, has elected its 2008 leadership: Daniel H. Skerritt (Portland) as Chair, Lee Jimerson (Portland) as Vice Chair, John Edmundson (Heppner) as Secretary, Mary Jane Guyer (Baker City) as Treasurer.

Skerritt is the seventh person to serve as the Trust's Chair, having just served three terms as Treasurer. He is an attorney with Tonkon Torp LLP and active with American College of Trail Lawyers, Rigas Maja, and Volunteers Lawyers Project.

Jimerson, serving his second term as Vice Chair, is Manager of Manufacturing Accounts for the Collins Companies and is active with Salmon Safe, Arlington Club, Mary Rieke Elementary Green Schools, Toastmasters, and Western Wood Products Association.

Edmundson, serving his fourth term as Secretary, is a retired school administrator, and serves on the Eastern Oregon Byway Coalition, Heppner Chamber of Commerce, and Morrow County Parks Advisory Committee.

Guyer, is a community leader active with the Baker County Alternative Education School, Baker County Bird and Native Plant Club, Baker City Library, Eastern Oregon Museum, Haines Community Charitable Fund, Northeast Oregon Heritage Fund, Northeast Oregon Housing Authority, and is a former mayor of the City of Haines, Oregon.

Founded in 1995, the Trust mission is to help safeguard Oregon's state parks and protect, cherish, and celebrate Oregon's great places. The organization has raised over $8.2 million to preserve Oregon’s state parks for present and future generations.
