Oregon State Parks Trust participates in NW Natural's paperless billing contest - receives $12,500 in critical funding
Oregon State Parks Trust, selected to participate in NW Natural’s paperless billing contest, received 49% of the votes cast resulting in an award of $12,500 in critically needed funding. THANK YOU TO THOSE OF YOU WHO CAST VOTES FOR OREGON STATE PARKS TRUST. And a special thank you to NW Natural for inviting Oregon State Parks Trust to participate in this worthy campaign.
Oregon State Parks Trust is the only statewide nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing Oregon's state parks.
Between May 1 and June 18, 2010, each current and new paperless billing customer voted for Oregon State Parks Trust or one of three other non-profit organizations to receive a portion of $25,000. Each organization received a portion of the $25,000 based on the percentage of votes they receive from customers.
NW Natural signed up over 3,000 new paperless billing customers during the month-and-a-half long campaign. There were 2,494 total votes cast for the participating non-profits. Oregon State Parks came in first with 49% of the votes and was awarded $12,500.
The contest may be over, but you can still join the 90,000 customers who have already enrolled in NW Natural’s paperless billing to date! By going paperless, you'll be able to view your gas bill online each month rather than receiving it in the mail – saving time, reducing bill clutter and reducing paper waste.
Thank you again for voting for Oregon State Parks Trust!
