Portland, OR. NW Natural has donated $9,500 to Oregon State Parks Trust, the only statewide nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing Oregon's state parks. The Trust, one of four nonprofits selected by NW Natural to participate in its 2008 paperless billing campaign, received 38% of the votes cast by new and existing paperless billing customers, a , the only statewide nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing Oregon's state parks, received $9,500 from NW Natural as a result from participating in Oregon State Parks Trust, the only statewide nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing Oregon's state parks, received $9,500 been selected as one of four nonprofit organizations to participate in NW Natural's 2008 paperless billing campaign. According to Oregon State Parks Trust's Executive Director Dave Eshbaugh, "NW Natural customers have a unique opportunity to help the environment and—at the same time—provide needed funding for Oregon State Parks Trust projects." |  |
NW Natural's current and new paperless billing customers (to enroll, go to http://www.nwnatural.com/), can vote between March 1 and April 18, 2008 for Oregon State Parks Trust (or one of three other nonprofits) to receive part of $25,000 to be donated by NW Natural. Oregon State Parks Trust will receive a portion of the $25,000, based on the percentage of votes that it receives from NW Natural paperless billing customers.
Founded in 1995, the Trust mission is to help safeguard Oregon's state parks and protect, cherish, and celebrate Oregon's great places. The organization has raised over $8.2 million to preserve Oregon’s state parks for present and future generations.
